Description

For this 2,000 square foot project in Mount Laguna, California, Bluemotif designed a series of operable privacy screens that allowed maximum flexibility for the perimeter offices surrounding the open work environment. While openness is encouraged for collaboration and communication in the office, the perimeter office occupants also require privacy at times. The operable screens use a system of pulleys, gears and counter-weights to achieve the openness and/or privacy. The design concept and detailing were developed in collaboration with fabricator, Basile Studios. Responsibilities included: conceptual door design, fabrication coordination, and construction administration.
